1. Ammiq Wetlands, West Bekaa
Arguably, the best time to visit is in May, when the wetlands are at their fullest. The weather is also perfect for an easy hiking trail, with plenty of shade along the way, making it a comfortable walk where you can enjoy the scenery and spot the adorable water buffalos.
2. Jisr El Hajar, Kfardebian
A stunning underrated gem in the heart of Kfardebian, and if you’ve been meaning to spot the hidden waterfall beneath the bridge, now is the perfect time to go.
3. The Amazon Trail, Bqaatouta
Bqaatouta’s “Amazon trail” is a lush hiking spot that feels like a rainforest escape. It’s also beautiful in fall when the rain brings the forest to life, making the whole trail greener, moodier, and more magical.
4. Chabrouh Waterfall, Faraya
Chabrouh Waterfall in Faraya is at its most impressive in May, when the spring water is brought to life after all the snow melts. The surrounding mountains are still lush and green, making it a perfect time for a scenic stop.
5. Bkarzla, Akkar
Another magnificent and severely underrated spot in North Lebanon, home to one of Lebanon’s most stunning waterfalls. Bkarzla in Akkar feels untouched and wild, especially in spring when the water flow is at its strongest.
6. Al Houwe, Wadi Qannoubine
Wadi Qannoubine in Bsharri is a magnificent hiking route surrounded by cliffs, monasteries, and greenery that feels untouched. The waterfalls are especially worth seeing in spring!
7. Falougha Lakes, Ain es Sihha
This popular spot definitely deserves to be on this list because the pristine lakes and surrounding greenery are at their most vibrant during this time. The landscape feels fresher and more alive, making it the perfect moment to enjoy the views at their best.
