MP Qabalan Qabalan inspects the centers hosting the displaced in the Western Bekaa and Rashaya and praises the region’s municipalities’ embrace of the people


Member of the Development and Liberation Bloc, MP Dr. Qabalan Qabalan, made an inspection tour of a number of centers hosting the displaced in the Western Bekaa and Rashaya regions, accompanied by the mayor of Sohmor, Muhammad Al-Khashin, and Sheikh Hassan Asaad, in order to see the conditions of the families who were forced to leave their homes as a result of the Israeli attacks.
The tour included a field visit to a number of centers in the region. In this context, Qabalan met with the President of the Union of Sahel Municipalities, Muhammad Al-Majzoub, at the Union Center, the Mayor of Al-Marj, Omar Harb, the Mayor of Al-Qaraoun, Khaled Al-Birani, the Mayor of Al-Rafid, Hassan Farhat, the Mayor of Baaloul, Ibrahim Darwish, the Mayor of Ana, Emil Awad, and a number of mayors.
Representative Qabalan, the mayor of Qaraoun, his deputy, Dr. Muhammad Yassin, and a number of members of the municipal council, inspected the hosting centers at Qaraoun Public School and the Cultural Club, where the delegation was briefed on the living conditions of the displaced families and the services provided to them, and listened to a number of observations related to their needs at this stage.

Qablan: Qaraoun provided a model for embracing the displaced
Representative Qabalan praised the role played by the municipality of Qaraoun and the townspeople in embracing the displaced families, considering that the solidarity witnessed by the town reflects the spirit of national and humanitarian responsibility.
He said that Qaraoun is one of the towns that receives the most displaced people in the region, as their number has exceeded thousands compared to the size of the town, praising the efforts made by the municipality, the townspeople, and a number of volunteers and philanthropists to meet the needs of the incoming families as much as possible.
He stressed that this role is not new for the people of Qaraoun, who have always been partners in confronting Israeli attacks. They have offered sacrifices and martyrs, and their town was bombed in previous stages, which made them more sensitive to the suffering of the people who were forced to leave their homes.
Qablan pointed out that the official authorities concerned with the displacement file, whether through the Presidency of the Government, the Southern Council, or the competent bodies, are working to secure part of the basic needs, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of the displaced, but he stressed that displacement remains a harsh experience, because no matter how much a person has the necessities for living outside his home, he still longs to return to his home and land.
He added that what is striking in meeting with the displaced is the amount of patience, faith, and steadfastness they show despite the harsh circumstances, considering that this spirit reflects their adherence to freedom, dignity, and their right to their land.
Qabalan concluded by expressing his hope that this difficult stage will end soon, and that the displaced will be able to return to their homes as quickly as possible, after the suffering of displacement and displacement has ended.

Al-Birani: More than 3,500 displaced people in Qaraoun and the town are united to serve them
For his part, the mayor of Qaraoun, Mr. Khaled Al-Birani, confirmed that the town currently hosts more than 3,500 displaced people, noting that the municipality, in cooperation with the people and local activities, is working to secure the necessary basic needs for the families residing in the hosting centers.
He explained that the town’s Disaster Management Committee is following up on securing food and necessary supplies, in coordination with various concerned authorities, in an attempt to alleviate the suffering of families who were forced to leave their homes.
Al-Birani pointed out that the conditions of displacement remain difficult for any person, as it is not easy for a family to leave their home to stay in a school or a shelter center, expressing his hope that the war will end quickly so that everyone can return to their homes in dignity.
He pointed out that the town of Qaraoun itself suffered from Israeli attacks in previous stages and provided martyrs and was subjected to bombing, which made its people feel more the suffering of the displaced, stressing that the people of the town stand by their displaced brothers in a spirit of solidarity and solidarity.
