Today, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Rima Karami, received from the World Food Program delegation, headed by Alison Auman Lawi, the comprehensive plan to support the continuity of learning in Lebanon.
This plan comes within a strategic partnership that aims to ensure learners’ access to continuous learning opportunities in public schools and education centers, by providing healthy and safe school meals. It also includes providing food rations to support the families of displaced students.
According to a statement by the programme, “This strong cooperation reflects the commitment of WFP and the Ministry of Education to ensuring every child’s right to education, and supporting all learners to overcome challenges not only in times of crisis, but to find long-term solutions with the aim of ensuring the achievement of the best educational outcomes.”
