Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri received at the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Tom Fletcher, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Lebanon, Imran Riza, where the meeting discussed the repercussions resulting from the Israeli aggression, especially the refugee crisis and the United Nations programs within the framework.
Speaker Berri also received the new Australian Ambassador, Tom Wilson, on a protocol visit on the occasion of his assuming his new duties as his country’s ambassador to Lebanon. The visit was also an occasion during which the general conditions in Lebanon and the latest developments on the ground were presented as a result of Israel’s continued aggression against Lebanon and the refugee crisis.
