The Lebanese National Theater has been quietly supporting displaced communities, offering not just shelter, but a space to breathe. This week, it announced that it will be screening free movies for the displaced every day.

At Le Colisée, one of Beirut’s most iconic cinemas, displaced people can drop by every day at 4 PM to watch films, free of charge.

Founder Kassem Istanbouli highlighted the importance of the arts in offering support to the communities in need. The Lebanese National Theater has been as a second home, welcoming those who have lost everything, hosting workshops, support sessions, plays, and now free movie screenings to ensure that despite these difficult times, people continue to engage in art and culture.

In a time where so much has been lost, these screenings offer moments of normalcy. For more content like this, make sure to browse the #Support Lebanon and #Arts & Culture sections on our website.
