Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Arif stressed that Iran is not just an “event” in history, but rather “history” itself.
He added: “It is a civilization that has gone through thousands of years of turmoil and delusions of haters, and its will will not be shaken by Trump’s nonsense that belongs to the Stone Age.”
He also said in a tweet on the “X” platform, “Our response to the enemy’s brutality is to adhere to national interests and rely on the self-strength of the great people of Iran.”
For her part, Iranian government spokeswoman Fatima Mohajerani confirmed that “there are no threats capable of undermining a civilization rooted in the Cyrus Code and the morals of Islam,” adding that “the country’s security is the government’s top priority and all matters are managed with the utmost precision.”
As for the head of the Expediency Discernment Council in Iran, Sheikh Sadiq Larijani, he warned that “the war is not limited to Iran’s borders, but rather is a Zionist-American project to engineer the region.”
Larijani added: “The war is never limited to Iran’s borders, but rather it is a huge Zionist-American project to engineer the entire region and establish Greater Israel.”
He also said that “the primary goal is to impose absolute hegemony in which no independent or opposing voice is allowed to be heard.”
Regarding the countries of the region, Larijani pointed out that “some countries in the region have fallen into a security trap by offering their lands to American bases,” stressing: “They must know that the cost of standing with the enemy in this game is high and that security is not achieved by leasing lands to foreigners.”
Washington is trying to manage defeat
Member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Parliament, Ali Khodarian, said that the continuation of the war is linked to the enemies’ ability to promote the possibility of forcing Iran to surrender or withdraw without political cost, stressing that this perception does not reflect the reality on the ground.
He pointed out that Iran has reached the stage of effective steadfastness, as the field and the streets are proving its cohesion and ability to confront, stressing that the country can no longer yield to pressure.
He added that the estimates of US President Donald Trump and his allies are based on an attempt to achieve a formal achievement, which allows them to claim that their full goals have not been achieved while preserving face.
Khodrian pointed out that what they are seeking in practice is to manage defeat, in preparation for exiting the region without bearing the repercussions of failure.
He believed that “the day the enemies realize that it is no longer possible to leave the region without a scandal, they will be forced to leave it under some pretext.”
The words of Iranian officials came after Trump threatened, through a post on “Truth Social,” to annihilate Iranian civilization if the deadline passed without reaching an agreement.
In this context, Reuters quoted an Iranian source as confirming that “Pakistan continues to transmit messages between Tehran and Washington, at a time when the United States has not changed its tone.”
The source explained that “there are no negotiations with Washington in light of its efforts to impose surrender under pressure,” indicating “Iran’s willingness to show flexibility when met with similar flexibility from the American side.”
The source stressed that “Tehran will not open the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for what he described as empty promises from the American side,” stressing that “if the situation gets out of control, Iran’s allies will also close Bab al-Mandab.”
