The Governor of Beirut asked the Beirut Police Command of the Internal Security Forces to temporarily evacuate the buildings that were affected by the Israeli aggression in Beirut.


The Disaster and Crisis Management Chamber in the Beirut City Governorate stated in a statement the following: In the context of the ongoing follow-up of the repercussions of the damage resulting from the Israeli aggression that targeted the city of Beirut on 04/08/2026, and based on the results of field inspections conducted by the competent technical agencies in the Beirut Municipality on the damaged buildings, the Governor of the City of Beirut, Judge Marwan Abboud, sent a letter to the Beirut Police Command in the Internal Security Forces, in which he requested that the necessary measures be taken to temporarily evacuate the buildings that had been damaged. It was found that it had been exposed to structural damage that constituted a threat to public safety. The evacuation request included the following properties: Property No. 255 of the Ain Al Mreisseh Real Estate area. Property No. 2901 of the Ras Beirut Real Estate area. Properties No. 4895, 3518, 3519, and 1256 of the Msaytbeh Real Estate area. Property No. 415 of the Al Mazraa Real Estate area. This is until the support of the existing buildings on these properties is secured, as he indicated. Governor Abboud indicated that a letter was addressed to His Excellency the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, in order to request the Higher Relief Commission to intervene according to the authority and capabilities in order to carry out the necessary work to ensure the safety of these buildings. The Beirut Governorate Disaster and Crisis Management Chamber confirms that these measures come within the framework of ensuring the protection of citizens and property, calling on all concerned to fully cooperate with the competent authorities, in compliance with public safety measures.
