Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif confirmed that a new round of talks between Iran and the United States will begin soon.
Asif indicated on Monday that there is still the possibility of resuming the talks, expressing relief after the talks in Islamabad last Saturday.
He said, “No negative things emerged regarding the talks. What appeared were only positive things.”
For his part, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed, on Monday, the continuation of diligent efforts to resolve the conflict between the United States and Iran.
In this context, the American newspaper “The Wall Street Journal” indicated that regional officials confirmed that the countries of the region are intensifying their efforts to bring the United States and Iran back to the negotiating table.
The officials explained that the door to negotiation is still open, “despite the harsh statements from both parties,” indicating the possibility of holding a new round of talks within days.
The Iranian delegation showed positivity during the negotiating rounds in Islamabad. Here, Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Ali Nikzad, confirmed that Tehran was ready to demonstrate good faith By diluting 450 kilograms of enriched uranium, not handing it over.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed to impose a blockade on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. But none of the European countries have shown willingness to help Trump in his attempt to impose the blockade.
