The distinguished Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmed Qabalan delivered the Friday sermon at the Imam Hussein Mosque in Burj al-Barajneh, in which he stressed that “our constants in this country begin with affirming the national formula, the political partnership, and what is necessary for the Lebanese family and its consensual pacts. These constants are inevitably worthless without an independent state with a free national decision and a proud national army fighting on the national borders, which is what Lebanon is suffering from in this complicated period to the point of national suicide.”
He pointed out that “the reality of the country today is mired in a repeated Zionist project in Lebanon, but the Zionist formula this time is a thousand times more dangerous than the May 17 agreement, and this is summed up by Washington’s Zionist framework, which threatens the security and political reality and strikes at the heart of the historical formula of Lebanon, the state, and Lebanon’s national partnership. President Joseph Aoun is required to undo this national sin in which he plunged the country. The country is not subject to experimentation, and does not even tolerate suicidal experiments. And if you are proud of your words and principles, Imam Sayyid Musa al-Sadr is the one who said: “Israel is absolute evil,” “Israel is a historical enemy that has been established and is based on aggression, occupation, treachery, and terrorism.” (This is its history, so read it carefully, not only in Lebanon and not only in the present), and we will not give it any security or political interest. The framework agreement is a historic national downfall and will not pass no matter the cost. The solution is to establish a sovereign functional partnership between the army and the resistance within a strategic national security formula, and what the resistance has provided at the level of national defense in the face of the most dangerous arsenal in the country. The world is like no other in the twenty-first century, and the current authority is concerned with the interests of Lebanon, not the interests of Tel Aviv, and nothing is stranger than this surrendering authority. Yes, it is surrendering, no matter how much we turn and change the titles and sides, because it is an impotent and paralyzed authority that nevertheless insists on playing the role of agent at the expense of national interests. Instead of this authority fulfilling Lebanon’s sovereign, financial, economic, health, and social interests, we find it in this area becoming a national burden and a historical disaster.
Mufti Qabalan considered that “today the country is paralyzed and the current authority is paralyzed, amidst an urgent need for an effective and capable authority, with a national revival partnership to carry out its relief, development, development, sovereign and social function. Lebanon’s problem today is with its executive authority, which has no function except to perpetuate the Zionist occupation, undermine the national consensus formula, and undermine the national faith. Rather, it went further than that by preventing any relief, rescue or internal development projects.” Today, the Lebanese forces are demanding a national cry and an alternative rescue project to avoid the failure of the current authority… In this regard, I advise the extreme right not to fall into the tunnel of new Zionism. Rather, the judiciary is required to prosecute the criminals of the tongue and the instigators of sectarian strife, because that puts the country in the heart of destructive chaos.
Mufti Qabalan regretted that “the Zionist media is playing the most dangerous roles for Tel Aviv inside Lebanon, and relying on Tel Aviv is relying on strife and destruction, and the reality of the region is experiencing radical transformations and the Strait of Hormuz has changed the balances, and in this regard the Gulf states are demanding a position befitting the independence of the region by prioritizing Arab and Islamic interests over others, and the time of Americanization of the Middle East is running out.”
He stressed that “the future of the region passes through Islamabad, Riyadh, Tehran, Ankara, Cairo and Baghdad, and there is no alternative to this formula, and whoever adheres to Washington’s Zionist path versus Islamabad’s path is placing Lebanon above the national altar, and we will not allow this complicit authority to slaughter Lebanon. Political betrayal is the most dangerous type of betrayal in history, and today President Nabih Berri is a national guarantee, not an international guarantee or agreement above his national belief, and the seal of authority does not cover the crime of treason, nor does it give The traitorous authority has no legitimacy. Rather, the door to national solutions passes through Ain al-Tineh, and Baabda’s opportunity has fallen unless it saves itself through Ain al-Tineh. Otherwise, the current authority will remain a mere corpse.”
Mufti Qabalan directed “a final word to the Lebanese people” by saying: “Your country’s government has no other job than to beatify the country for the Zionists, and it is the story of a country and crises in all sectors of unemployment, inflation, corruption, crime, poverty and livelihood disasters that this government has nothing to do with, because it is a government of normalization and absolute surrender, and what we want is a national authority that is reconciled with its people, its resistance, its national ideology, and its security and political interests, in addition to Lebanon’s development and rescue projects, and this authority is not like that.” Stressing that “what is required is a national formulation of the concept of authority that brings together, saves and protects Lebanon.”
On the occasion of the funeral of the martyred Imam and leader, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Mufti Qabalan said: “Imam Khamenei is the most important pole of this world and the greatest historical, intellectual, political and reference figure that the world has known in this time after Imam Khomeini (his predecessor), and the owner of the greatest moral state that defeated America and Israel, and placed the world before a new multipolarity. Imam Sayyed Khamenei’s pledge is to adhere to the moral and humanitarian goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and to the likes of the Imam. The Khamenei will remain for the rest of eternity, their eyes are missing and their minds are present in the hearts, and to God we belong and to Him we shall return, and these are the greatest glories of the martyr leader, Sayyed Khamenei, who reproduced history and the scales of the new world.”
