On the occasion of World Environment Day and World Oceans Day 2026, because the sea deserves it, the Environment and Development Program and StepForward at Makhzoumi Foundation, in collaboration with HEAD and the Municipality of Byblos, joined a beach cleanup campaign in Byblos as part of the LEGABIENTE Mediterranean Network across 21 countries.

Together for cleaner beaches
On the occasion of World Environment Day and World Sea Day 2026, the Environment and Development Program and StepForward of the Makhzoumi Foundation participated in the Jbeil Beach clean-up campaign, in cooperation with the Insan Association for Environment and Development (HEAD) and the Municipality of Jbeil, as part of the activities of the Mediterranean LEGABIENTE network that brings together 21 countries around one goal: protecting and preserving our marine environment for future generations.
