The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that its armed forces carried out 19 mass strikes during the period between July 11 and 17, using long-range precision weapons launched from the air and land, in addition to attack drones, targeting military sites and installations belonging to the Ukrainian forces.

The ministry said that the strikes affected infrastructure facilities in the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk, Yuzhny and Dnipro-Bugsky, which, according to the statement, are used to unload and store military cargo, fuel and lubricants.

Field progress and Ukrainian losses exceeding 2,350 soldiers

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that units of the “Center” group improved their tactical positions, and were able to defeat formations that included two mechanized brigades, a mechanized infantry brigade (Jager), an assault brigade, a marine infantry brigade, and three brigades of the Ukrainian National Guard.

She added that the losses of the Ukrainian forces in the group’s axis exceeded 2,350 soldiers, in addition to tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles, 41 vehicles, three field artillery pieces, and 14 electronic warfare stations.

Russian operations in the West, East, South, North and Dnieper axes

The Ministry stated that the forces of the Russian “Dnepr” group inflicted losses on four mechanized brigades, a mountain attack brigade, and a regional defense brigade, noting that the Ukrainian forces lost more than 460 soldiers, in addition to two armored combat vehicles, 107 vehicles, two field artillery, three drone boats, and 25 electronic warfare stations.

In the “West” axis, the ministry said that the Russian forces improved their tactical situation, and inflicted losses on three mechanized brigades, an offensive brigade, an airborne brigade, a naval brigade, and a regional defense brigade, confirming that Ukraine’s losses amounted to 1,505 soldiers, 19 armored combat vehicles, 117 vehicles, 13 artillery pieces, a multiple missile launch system, and three electronic warfare and anti-battery stations.

She added that the forces of the Russian “East” group continued their advance deep into the Ukrainian defenses, stressing that the losses of the Ukrainian forces in this axis exceeded 3,275 soldiers, in addition to 15 armored combat vehicles, 64 vehicles, five artillery pieces, and two “Grad” missile launching vehicles.

As for the “South” axis, the Ministry indicated that the Ukrainian forces lost more than 1,205 soldiers, tanks, 14 armored combat vehicles, 183 vehicles, 14 field artillery, and four electronic warfare stations, confirming that a number of mechanized and air brigades, attack and regional defense brigades were targeted.

Control of a town in Sumy Province

On the “North” axis, the Ministry confirmed that its forces took control of the town of Bachevsk in Sumy District, noting that the operations resulted in losses exceeding 1,360 Ukrainian soldiers, in addition to tanks, 12 armored combat vehicles, 77 vehicles, 11 field artillery, and a “Grad” multiple rocket launcher system.

Shooting down thousands of drones

The Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that during the week, air defense systems dropped 68 guided aerial bombs, 7 missiles from the American “HIMARS” system, two long-range cruise missiles, and 4,661 fixed-wing drones.

She added that the Black Sea Fleet destroyed five Ukrainian drone boats during the same period.
