When people think of Aley, Chinese food probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But tucked away on Piscine Street is WASAIan eatery that’s quietly become a destination of its own for anyone craving authentic Chinese flavors.

WASAI is a modern spot serving a mix of Asian favorites and traditional Chinese dishes. It’s a refreshing change of pace in Aley, where traditional Lebanese tables have long dominated the dining scene.

Must-try dishes at WASAI

If it’s your first time at WASAI, we’d definitely start with the dynamite shrimp. It’s crispy, saucy, and the kind of appetizer everyone keeps reaching for, so don’t be surprised if you end up ordering a second round.

And for the main dish, the mouthwatering sweet and sour shrimp easily beats the more traditional beef or chicken options. The crispy prawns paired with the tangy glaze create that perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors without feeling too heavy.

A little something for sushi lovers

One of the things that makes WASAI stand out is that it also houses Sushi Bell, one of our favorite sushi spots in Lebanon. Known for serving fresh, high-quality sushi at reasonable prices, Sushi Bell has built a loyal following thanks to its creative rolls and consistently fresh fish.

If it’s your first time, don’t skip their signature rolls like the Ruby, Crazy Salmon, or Volcano Special. One thing we always add to our order is the salmon sashimi. It’s simple, but when it’s done right, the fresh fish has that buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture that’s hard to beat. For something a little different, try their viral Sushi Pops, created in collaboration with Sushi Guide LB.

While Aley is already a popular summer escape, WASAI gives you another reason to head up the mountain. If you’re planning on spending the day discovering the city, make sure your dinner plans include this spot. It also has a stunning view, so the perfect time to visit would be around sunset.
