As part of Sidon Municipality’s ongoing efforts to preserve the environment, public health, and the city’s cultural landscape, the municipal police filed a seizure report against a restaurant, due to its failure to throw its waste into the containers designated for it, and its continued random throwing, which harms public safety and the environment.
The Municipal Police Command explained that this action came after sending several notifications and repeated warnings to the management of the concerned restaurants regarding the need to adhere to the applicable environmental guidelines and regulations, but they did not respond and continued to violate, causing harm to the neighborhood and distorting the general landscape of the city.
Accordingly, the restaurant management was given a copy of the underlined arrest report against him, and the file was referred to the judicial and competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
The Sidon Municipality reiterates that it will not tolerate any violations that affect the cleanliness of the city and the health of its people and visitors, stressing that the municipal police will continue its patrols and strict supervision, although until now it has published blurred pictures of the reports, but in the future it will publish the report with the name of the violator in front of public opinion. Therefore, it calls on all institutions, restaurants, and citizens to fully adhere to municipal instructions and throw waste in their designated places and times, in order to preserve a more beautiful and healthier Sidon for everyone.
