Lebanon Debate learned that the government commissioner to the Board of Directors of Lebanon Television, Director General of the Ministry of Information, Hassan Falha, registered an objection during the Board of Directors session held on Monday, against the backdrop of the implementation of the circular issued by the Minister of Information regarding the use of specific terms in media coverage.
According to the information, Falha expressed a position of strong objection to the implementation of the content of the circular, which calls for not using the term “resistance” and replacing it with the designation “Hezbollah” in media coverage, considering that this matter raises problems within the institution and is not a matter of consensus.
The objection came during the discussion that took place in the Board of Directors session of “Lebanon Television”, where Falha registered a clear refusal to implement the circular, amid a discussion about its professional and media repercussions on the work of the official institution.
This development comes in light of the controversy raised by the circular issued by the Minister of Information, which addresses how “Hezbollah” is described in official media coverage.
