South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported that 50 people were injured, including 35 seriously, as a result of a fire that broke out in an auto parts factory in Daejeon.
Yonhap reported that the National Fire Service called for a national mobilization to extinguish the fire in the city of Daejeon, located about 160 kilometers south of the capital, Seoul.
Yonhap indicated that the number of infected people is likely to rise.
It was reported that about 240 firefighters were deployed to put out the fire.
Prime Minister Kim Min-suk ordered that the top priority be saving lives, Yonhap reported.
