The Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, warned against the ongoing attempts to ignite internal strife that responds to the interests of the Israeli enemy.
Al-Khatib said, in a statement, “Israel, which day after day confirms its failure to eliminate the resistance in Lebanon, is working hard to replace this goal by igniting internal strife among the Lebanese, and targeting some places in areas of displacement is only one of these attempts, the most recent of which was yesterday in the Ain Saadeh area in Mount Lebanon.”
He added: “Therefore, we alert our Christian brothers in particular and our partners in the homeland of these malicious Israeli attempts that only serve the enemy, and replace the prices that the Lebanese pay as a result of the Israeli aggression with more costly prices among the Lebanese themselves, with the fissures that this leads to that restore the atmosphere of civil war,” calling on everyone to “reason, foresight and wisdom so that we prevent the enemies from their malicious goals.”
Al-Khatib also alerted the official authorities to this reality, calling on “the military and security forces to take the necessary measures to prevent internal strife. We also call on our families and children in the first place to act wisely and not be drawn into provocations.”
