Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that the BRICS countries look at Iran in a different light after the failure of the American aggression.

Araqchi said, “Today, all countries recognize that Iran was the winner of the war and was able to thwart its enemies in achieving their goals, impose its will, and gain a new status.”

He added that Iran has been able to prove itself as a power and player in the region capable of confronting the largest powers, noting that other countries believe that the future of the region and its mechanisms require a new outlook, and that the facts that emerged after the recent war must be taken into account.

Araqchi specified that this war (since February 28) represented a turning point in the region that raised Iran’s status significantly, considering that Iran must now “confirm its position and highlight its regional role more than ever before.”

“Iran and the UAE are two neighboring countries… and they have a common history and future.”
Regarding the role of the UAE in the aggression against Iran, Araqchi confirmed that it stood by the United States and the Israeli entity, speaking about accurate information and clear documents proving this.

Meanwhile, Araqchi stressed that Iran only targeted American targets on UAE territory, and Tehran advised it that the Israeli entity and the United States could not provide security for it.

He said, “It is better for the UAE to change its policies towards Iran. We are two neighboring countries with a common history and future, and this requires seeking security in cooperation between the countries of the region and not relying on foreign powers.”

He added that Iran did not want to get involved in these issues in order to preserve the unity and cohesion of the BRICS group, but he explained that when the representative of the UAE raised these issues, Tehran was forced to reveal the facts before the international community.

A meeting of foreign ministers from the BRICS group was held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, yesterday, Thursday, amid the continuing repercussions of the US-Israeli war on Iran, especially on the economic and energy sector levels.
