China warned of the situation getting out of control in the Middle East, after US President Donald Trump threatened to destroy Iranian power plants if Tehran did not open the Strait of Hormuz.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said in a press conference in response to a question about Trump’s threats: “If the war expands and the situation deteriorates further, the entire region may enter an out-of-control situation.”
