Member of the Development and Liberation Bloc, Representative Muhammad Khawaja, made several observations about the framework agreement in Washington:
1- This agreement violates the Constitution, Taif, relevant laws, and UN resolutions and agreements, the first of which is the 1949 Armistice Agreement.
2- This agreement, in form and content, is a summary of American dictates and the direct negotiating team’s compliance in the interest of the Israeli entity.
3- This agreement aims to block the US-Iranian understanding, especially the first paragraph stipulating an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon and Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories.
4- This agreement does not target a group or component in itself, but rather Lebanon’s sovereignty, institutions, and entity.
5- If you want to know the nature of this agreement, in what ink it was written, and to serve whom? Read the positions of politicians and the comments of media professionals in the Israeli entity.
6- This agreement allows the enemy to prevent the citizens of dozens of Lebanese border towns from returning to their land and legislates the occupation forces’ stay for an unforeseen period.
7- This agreement aims to move the battle from the border against the Israeli enemy to the interior so that the Lebanese people fight among themselves.
8- This agreement carries within it an explicit call for a clash between our national army and broad segments of the Lebanese.
9- This agreement is intended to create climates of strife, instability, and civil strife.
10- This agreement, which is completely biased towards the enemy, will not be able to survive and will inevitably fall by the will of the honorable and free Lebanese of all affiliations and backgrounds…
