Lebanese content creator Hsen Farhat decided to stay in South Lebanon Despite the ongoing aggressions against the land, he now documents his daily life, showing all the reasons he decided to stay.

In one video, responding to why he stayed in his village, he said, “Why should we leave? We’re not leaving this land. We’re here like thyme and olives.”

Airstrikes and bombings have cut off roads and bridges leading to affected southern villages, so Hsen, alongside Mahamad Hmayedis among those delivering essential aid.

Another reason he and his friends chose to stay is to care for the animals left behind. With many families forced to leave, livestock and pets were often abandoned, left without food or shelter.

There’s no attempt to romanticize the situation. Instead, its content reflects a quiet kind of resilience, rooted in routine, land, and community.
