The Ministry of Health issued the following statement:
لم يمض يومان على حصول لبنان على قرار بغالبية موصوفة من الجمعية العامة لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لحماية الأطقم الصحية في لبنان وتحييدها، حتى واصل العدو الإسرائيلي تحديه المتمادي للقرارات الدولية وتنصّله من الإلتزامات واستهتاره بالشرعية.
The enemy continued its violations that completely disregard the World Health Organization resolution and everything stipulated in international humanitarian law. It targeted, with its heavy war machine, paramedics who did not carry any military equipment, but rather emergency equipment to perform their humanitarian rescue work, which caused more martyrs among the ranks of these heroes who do not give up the most precious thing they possess and rush to do their duty despite all the certain risks.
In a raid on the Monastery of Qanun al-Nahr in the Tire district, 6 were martyred, including two paramedics for Al-Resala Society, one of whom was also a journalist, and a Syrian girl, in addition to 6 wounded, including 3 paramedics for Al-Resala and a Syrian woman.
An Israeli enemy raid at night on the town of Hanawiyeh, Tire district, led to a final toll of 4 martyrs among the health authority’s paramedics and two wounded, including a health authority paramedic and a woman.
