In turn, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, spoke after the meeting, saying: I regret to see this terrible suffering that the hospitable Lebanese people are going through, which has always hosted displaced Palestinians and Syrians, and today my heart is sad to see this large number of displaced Lebanese inside Lebanon with a large number of deaths, it is a very tragic situation. Guterres added: My message is very clear, we must put an end to this war, and there must be an immediate ceasefire.
