Following the large displacement to Beirut, and after the visit of MP Fouad Makhzoumi to the operations room and his request to increase the number of shelters in coordination with all concerned parties, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers approved the opening of Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium As a shelter center to receive our displaced families.

Today, the teams and volunteers of the Makhzoumi Foundationin cooperation with the Governor’s Officethe Beirut Municipality Emergency Operations Roomand the Disaster Risk Management Unitare on the ground with other partners and civil society organizations working to prepare the center to receive displaced families and provide them with support during these difficult circumstances.

Beirut will always remain a home that embraces everyone.

Opening of the Sports City as a shelter center for displaced people

Following the large exodus to Beirut, and after the visit of His Excellency MP Fouad Makhzoumi to the operating room and the request to increase the centers from all concerned, approval was given by the Prime Minister to open the Sports City as a shelter center to receive our displaced people.

Today, Makhzoumi Foundation teams and volunteers, in cooperation with the Governor’s Office, the Beirut Municipality Emergency Room, and the Disaster Management Authority on the ground, along with other partners and civil society organizations, are working to prepare the center to receive displaced families and provide support to them in these difficult circumstances.
