The Ministry of Education and Higher Education issued the following statement:
In light of the current security conditions and in order to ensure the safety of the educational family, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education decided to close all public and private schools and secondary schools and all vocational and technical education institutions tomorrow, Tuesday, provided that the Ministry continues to evaluate developments on a daily basis in coordination with the competent authorities.
On the other hand, the Ministry announced its apology for not receiving citizens and those with reviews, approvals and equations tomorrow, Tuesday, due to the current security conditions.
Minister Dr. Rima Karami affirms her condemnation of the attacks that Lebanon is being subjected to, declaring her solidarity with the displaced families, and setting up a list of public schools at the disposal of the National Response Plan to receive them and provide decent shelter centers.
The Ministry calls on members of the educational family to adhere to the directives issued by it, wishing safety for all Lebanese.
Closing of the Lebanese University due to current developments
In view of the current developments that Lebanon is going through, the President of the Lebanese University, Dr. Bassam Badran, announces the closure of the Lebanese University with all its units and branches, including the central administration.
An indication that the presidency of the Lebanese University will keep pace with developments through successive statements.
