The occupation “army” acknowledged the death of a captain from the “Egoz” unit, as a result of serious wounds he sustained during battles in southern Lebanon last Thursday, in addition to the killing of two Israeli soldiers over the weekend.
Israeli media also reported that 4 Israeli soldiers were injured to varying degrees today, Saturday, in southern Lebanon, in addition to the killing of a soldier from the “Givati” Brigade yesterday.
It is noteworthy that the “Egoz” unit is considered one of the elite units in the occupation “army,” and specializes in the tasks of ambushes, reconnaissance, infiltration, and fighting in rugged areas, especially in complex combat environments. It was also historically famous for its operations in southern Lebanon during the period of the Israeli occupation of the south.
