In tribute to legendary Lebanese singer, composer, and actor Ahmad Kaabourthe West Bank city of Jenin has named a street in his honor, carrying his voice into its daily life. After he passed away In Beirut on March 26, 2026, his legacy of music and solidarity lives on.
Kaabour defined a generation of Lebanon’s artistic and cultural scenes, championing themes of resistance and homeland through his music. Known for the song “Ounadikum”, which was based on a poem written by Palestinian poet Tawfiq Ziad, his voice became an anthem across the Arab World.
He had long been woven into Palestinian life as the voice of their unbreakable bond to the homeland.
Per Megaphone Newsthe inauguration unfolded Monday in Beit Qad village, celebrating Kaabour’s enduring legacy. Ramallah’s Municipal Council also voted to name a street in his honor as the voice of the land.
