US President Donald Trump said on Friday via social media that he will work with Congress to transfer ownership of the Kennedy Center, after a court ruling was issued to remove Trump’s name from the famous place located in Washington.
US District Court Judge Christopher Cooper issued a ruling on Friday to remove Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, ruling that the venue cannot change its name without a decision from Congress.
Cooper ordered the Trump administration to remove all signs bearing Trump’s name and delete any reference to the Trump Kennedy Center from official materials within 14 days.
