The Ministry of Tourism is following up on lifeguard training courses and, based on the circular issued by the Ministry, conducting test courses to grant a “swimming lifeguard” license for the year 2026.
According to a statement, “These courses aim to enhance public safety with the beginning of the 2026 swimming season, and they are a continuation of the courses organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
These courses are based on Decree No. 9618 dated 12/22/2012 regarding defining the profession of swimming lifeguard in sea baths and swimming pools.”
Regarding the nomination conditions and required documents, she announced:
“The candidate must have completed eighteen years of age, and the following documents are required to be submitted:
Two photographs.
A copy of the identity card, an original registration certificate not older than three months, or a certified copy thereof.
A recent criminal record, no more than one month old.
A health certificate according to the form approved exclusively by the Ministry of Tourism.
A first aid course certificate issued by the Lebanese Red Cross, provided that it has not been issued for more than one year.
Applications shall be submitted to the Office of the Tourism Equipment Authority during the following days of May 2026: (May 14 – 15 – 18 – 19).
