Zamalek won the Egyptian Premier League title for the 15th time in its history with a 1-0 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra in the final round of the coronation group on Wednesday.
Zamalek needed only one point to win the title, regardless of the results of the Al-Ahly matches against Al-Masry of Port Said and Pyramids against Smouha.
But he concluded his league campaign with a victory thanks to a goal by Uday Al-Dabbagh at the beginning of the first half, while Ceramica missed a penalty kick after the break.
With this result, Zamalek ends the league with 56 points, two points ahead of Pyramids, second in the standings, which secured qualification for the African Champions League next season after its 2-1 victory over its guest, Smouha.
Al-Ahly occupies third place, qualifying for the Confederation Cup, with 53 points after its 2-0 victory over its host Al-Masry. Al-Ahly played most of the match with ten players after Yassin was sent off in the 38th minute.
