Qalibaf to the Commander of the Pakistani Army: We will not give up our rights… and we will respond to any American mistake against Iran


The Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, met with the Commander of the Pakistani Army, Field Marshal Asim Munir, today, Saturday, in Tehran.

During the meeting, Qalibaf assured the Pakistani army commander that his country “will not give up its rights and the rights of its people, especially with a party that did not have any credibility in the first place, and in whom there is no trust.”

He continued: “We were in a negotiation process when Washington carried out its aggression against us, and now we are negotiating to end it,” and “we were in a truce mediated by Pakistan, but the United States violated the covenant and imposed a naval blockade, and now it is seeking to lift it.”

He added, “Just as Iran defended Iran’s entity with courage and ability on the battlefield, it will also seek in the arena of diplomacy with intelligence and strength to fulfill the country’s legitimate rights and secure its national interests.”

Qalibaf pointed out that “the military knows better than anyone else the value of peace, but they themselves never allow their country’s dignity and rights to be trampled upon.”

Qalibaf also stressed that the Iranian armed forces “rebuilt themselves during the truce period.”

He vowed that “the Iranian response to Washington will be more severe and bitter than the first day of the war, if US President Donald Trump commits a mistake again against Iran.”

Mounir: Iran is run by smart people with great insight

In turn, Mounir told Qalibaf: “You and I are both soldiers for our people, and the soldiers speak without stuttering and honestly, not in gray or in black and white words,” expressing his happiness that “Iran is run by intelligent people who have high insight.”

He added that the government and people of Pakistan “bring their best wishes and prayers for the future of Iranians.”

This meeting came after Mounir also met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. And his Foreign Minister, Abbas IraqiThe two sides exchanged views on the latest diplomatic efforts and initiatives to prevent the escalation of tension and end the war imposed by the United States and the Israeli occupation against Iran.

The two sides also discussed ways to enhance peace, stability and security in the West Asia region
