Prime Minister Nawaf Salam issued the following statement: “We condemn in the strongest terms the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the entire region and to international peace and security, and cannot be justified under any pretext.
As we affirm our full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government and people, we declare our firm stand by its side in the face of everything that threatens its security and sovereignty, and we fully support its right to take whatever measures it deems necessary to protect its lands, citizens and interests, based on the legitimate right to self-defense.
The continuation of these attacks reveals a dangerous determination to undermine efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in the Arabian Gulf.”
