Prime Minister Nawaf Salam confirmed from the western town of Zawtar that the deployment of the Lebanese army represents a national moment with great political and moral dimensions, as it is the beginning of the path of Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
Salam indicated that the state will begin, in conjunction with the deployment of the army, work to open roads, remove rubble, and provide basic services for the people, stressing that the government will harness all its capabilities to accompany the return of the residents of the south to their towns.
The Prime Minister stressed the continuation of efforts to secure the Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territories, pointing out that the army and security forces will protect citizens and strengthen the state’s presence in the region.
