Inspired by long walks on the beach at low tide, at the end of very hot summer days, these hammer textured sterling silver dangle earrings with natural blue agate gemstone, represent the low tide mark and the little rock pools left behind. The oval sterling silver earring charms have been hand cut from recycled sheet sterling silver, hammered for texture and the tide mark added. Each charm features a 6 mm natural blue agate gemstone cabochon set in a hand made bezel. The charms have been oxidized to highlight the textural differences and lightly polished back.

The earring charms measure approximately 3 cm x 1.6 cm, and are suspended from hand forged sterling silver earwires, giving them a total drop of approximately 4 cm.

This is a hand fabricated item with each metal element being individually hand sawn, textured, filed, shaped and formed; soldered, sanded, patinated and polished.

Agate is said to be a calming stone, enhancing mental function and bringing emotional, physical and intellectual balance.
