Antique Frank discount "Lefty" O'Doul 1929 National League Batting Leader Pin - Philadelphia Phillies - Rare 1930's PR3-10 Big League Leaders

A scarce original vintage baseball pin from 1933. This series of pins are classified as "1933 PR3-10 League Leaders" pins, featuring various MLB category leaders over the prior several years.

This particular pin commemorates the National League batting title won by Frank J. O'Doul (Lefty O'Doul) during the 1929 season with the Phillies. O'Doul led the league with a .398 batting average that year. The small pinback style button has a great design, resembling a baseball with crossed bats and a red/white/blue color scheme.

The pin measures approximately 13/16" in diameter and is still in very good condition for its age. The tin discount litho graphics are still legible with minimal wear. The colors are still vibrant with only minor discoloration. The pin does have some minor surface abrasions as would be expected with age and handling. The metal backside also has some mild corrosion - again, commensurate with age.
