Kingsley Amis was an English novelist, poet, critic and teacher. Amis's first novel Lucky Jim was an immediate success and marked the beginning of a long career in writing. He wrote more than 40 books, including 20 novels and discount many volumes of poetry. In 2008, The Times ranked Amis 13th on their list of the top fifty greatest British writers since 1945. Condition Report: In a black cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally in lovely condition. Dustwrapper is in excellent condition with just some very light shelfwear to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Overall: Fine
