This is a large antique Japanese porcelain charger 14 1/8 inches in diameter. It has a red 8 character mark along with a blue mark. It is highly detailed. It features panels of a lady discount and a boy, a pair of birds and a village scene. What is intriguing about the colors is the fact that the lady and boy look predominantly one set of colors and then predominantly gold when the light strikes at certain angles. Backside is wonderfully colored also.
