So, this is a happy accident. The metal part of the pendant is actually a silver plated fork, reshaped to hold a large marble (and not look like a fork in the process). However discount, this one didnt bend quite how I wanted so I set it in the "meh" pile.
For the glass bomb - I heat glass on the end of a stainless rod. Some of the glass is gathered around the end of the rod and becomes part of the tool to hold the rest of the glass to be formed into a sphere. Well, that glass broke and the nearly formed ball (of hot glass) shot straight into the air. I leaned far back as I could just in time for the hot sphere to land on my chest and roll down my shirt, which I lifted and tossed the glass back onto my bench. So I put it in the kiln (for annealing) and later in the "meh" pile.
Weeks later I saw these pieces and in an instant "saw" how this was to turn out. So there you have it, a cool story to go along with your awesome new pendant.
Oh, if you were wondering....I didnt get burned, this time. ;)
