Sacred Union - discount Shiva Lingham and Geode Pendant

A lovely stone pendant created to represent the union between male and female. I have worked some sculpting clay around the stones and created the design using the same material. The pendant measures 2 1/4" and I have hung it on a 20" piece of faux suede cord.

METAPHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES:

Shiva Lingham. These egg shaped stones come from only one place, the Narmada River in Western India, one of India's most holy sites. The villagers gather the stones from the river and hand polish them so that they are a smooth rounded shape. Within the form of the stones, there is also the shape of the cosmic egg, out of which all creation has emerged.
This therefore makes these stones encompass both the male and female, and their union, within the one sacred object.
Hindu tradition speaks of the Goddess Parvati, who shaped a Shiva Lingam out of sand then worshiped Lord Shiva. They carry the energy within them to activate the kundalini energy and begin the process of awakening the kundalini

Geodes are symbolic of Mother Earth and all things feminine and beautiful.

Carnelian is a stone of creativity, individuality, spiritual power. It balances the discount Sacral Chakra and is helpful for grounding oneself. The ancient Egyptians described Carnelian as a "sunset enclosed in stone".
